With the mill house structure substantially completed through the group's dedicated co-investment and hard work, the next critical step – acquiring the maize milling machine itself – has now been successfully accomplished.
Leveraging the savings discipline fostered through the AST program and facilitated by RFW's supportive partnership, the vital equipment was procured and has now arrived on site. The delivery of the sealed machine was met with jubilation from the participant group and community members who had eagerly followed the project's progress.
While the official launch is still ahead, the arrival of the mill represents the near-culmination of their journey from identifying a need to building a solution.
